I had the great good fortune to sing at Carnegie Hall, NYC, under the baton of Jennifer Rodgers, as part of an ensemble of 3 choirs; my choir was from the Washington DC area, another was from Ames, Iowa and the 3rd from Everett, Washington.
We assembled in New York City to sing ‘Requiem’, written by our DC choir director, Dr. Clif Hardin. It’s a truly moving piece. Each movement explores the stages of grief that we must pass through when losing a loved one. The composer’s notes, included in the playbill, are worth the read.
It was a truly memorable and meaningful experience. It was awesome! It was magical!
I will never forget it.
